The Admissions Process
Step 1: Learn More About MSLT!
Basic information about our school as well as Montessori education in general is available on our website. We work with children ages 2 years 5 months through 7 years of age. Please fill out the Request More Information form to receive our introductory information.
Step 2: Tour our School
Virtual tours are available by appointment. We recommend either a 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM time because that is when we have the most going in in our 4 classrooms with the children. If those times are not convenient for you, we are happy to work around your schedule. We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM. These visits are specifically for parents/guardians to provide valuable information about our school and Montessori philosophy. Please call us at (303) 799-8540 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a tour time.
Step 3: Submit an Application
At the end of your tour, if you would like to enroll your child, please provide us with your email address so that we may send you a secure on-line enrollment link. There you may fill out all of your child’s information at your convenience. Please complete the necessary information and bring in the $200 or $300 non-refundable Materials/Enrollment Fee (depending on which program you are interested in), as soon as possible. Applications can be submitted for immediate enrollment to begin immediately, during the Summer Program or for the beginning of the next school year. Medical forms and the Statement of Authorization must be turned in before your child starts. Once the forms are completed on line and we receive your Acceptance Fee in the office, available spaces are secured. Please email email@example.com for an enrollment link.
Step 4: School Visit
Shortly before your child’s enrollment date, you will be contacted by his/her new teacher to schedule the School and Home Visits. The School Visit consists of a twenty-minute introductory visit when you and your child can meet the new teachers and see the new classroom. The purpose is for your child to become familiar and look forward to returning to his/her new Montessori school.
Step 5: Home Visit
Following the School Visit, one of your child’s new teachers will go to your home to spend about twenty minutes with your child. Our hope is that parents will refrain from questions and allow the teacher and child to become acquainted with each other. We have found this enables children to make a much easier transition to their new environment.
Step 6: The First Day of School
Enjoy your day know that your child is in great hands, learning lots, and having fun!
