I’m excited to be part of the team at Montessori School at Lone Tree! I was born and raised near Amarillo, Texas where I also attended West Texas A&M University and received a B.A. in English with a minor in Spanish. As part of my studies there I have had opportunities to travel in Europe as well as Latin America. After college I moved to Denver as part of a volunteer program which served the homeless. The experience stretched my heart in friendship and to see beauty in unexpected places. The people of Denver and the mountains begged me to stay and I began to work in a traditional kindergarten classroom. It wasn’t until later that I observed a Montessori class and fell in love with the philosophy. I trained at Montessori Casa International 2016-17 and completed my practicum last year at Lincoln Elementary School. I’m so grateful to the mentors and guides who have prepared me to be part of this team at Lone Tree. It is a great honor to be working with each one of you to support the unfolding of curiosity and life which is bursting forth from each one of these young ones. When I’m out of the classroom, I love hiking, playing in various sports leagues, and exploring new recipes in the kitchen!
